Sing 100 - gala concert

Portsmouth Baroque Choir will join forces with other choirs and instrumentalists from the Portsmouth area for Sing 100, as part of the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of Portsmouth’s city status. The programme will include:

Parry – Blest Pair of Sirens
McDowall – Ave Maris Stella
Rutter – Gloria
National Anthem arr. Elgar or Freda Swain (she was born in Portsmouth)
Ravenscroft – To Portsmouth.
Freda Swain – Breathe on me Breath of God.
Commission by Paul Saggers. This will be an 8 minute piece with a secular text from the Poet Laureate, who has Portsmouth connections.
Parry – Jerusalem
